Trans Alp Challenge Day 6

Day 6 A tough start today with a defective tyre on one of the bikes that appeared overnight! After 2 hours of trying to fix the problem it became apparent a professional was needed. Thankfully the rain and thunder had passed when the bike shop opened. A later start than was planned but on the guys went to tackle their final challenge of a 20km route to Mont Ventoux (Alt. 1912m). Starting on the main road then bending up towards the peak, plenty of trees en route providing cover but not much air to cool off the near 30c heat before 10am. The road became more open in the last 6km with some spectacular views of the surrounding areas . A big sincere well done to Tim and John, we appreciate everything you and your supporters have done for us here at the Footprints Foundation.
