Ely, Cambridgeshire Ely/Little Downham circular 2015

A great start to the walk today at the impressive Ely Cathedral, fantastic architecture, and a detailed walking map (with photos) supplied by Trina’s Eagleton’s husband.

14 walkers plus two Italian greyhounds (thanks Theo!)  and two wasters from Network Waster. Fine start to the weather on our last days’ walking. Working our way through the fields and heading to Little Downham for lunch. Few spots of rain, hopefully not too hard, and a pleasant walk all round.

After a few more spots of rain we arrived at the Anchor pub (nice pub – shame about the food) and after a brief respite finished the last leg of the walk; a short 3 miles hike into Ely. Didn’t expect the hail stones but a great day and a nice walk. If you haven’t visited Ely Cathedral put it on your bucket list.

Thanks to everyone involved in all the walks – well organised and great attendance. I look forward to seeing you all next year.
